My husband is the best

Since we were going to Disneyland (and since we're down to just Jason's paycheck) we decided to not get each other anything for our anniversary except a card. Well instead of a card, Jason wrote me the sweetest poem ... on the back of our car rental confirmation print out. It was so spontaneous and romantic, I loved it.

He read it to me as we were eating dinner at The Blue Bayou (ya know, the fancy little restaurant that you pass on the Pirates of the Caribbean) and as soon as he finished, he looked at me and said "You're welcome to blog this if you'd like." He knows me too well.

From the first time I saw you,
it was love at first sight.
The office flirt, from Sunday school,
up the canyon, out all night.
I tried to wait for our first kiss,
but we both know I couldn't resist.
Your beautiful eyes, a smile to match,
let's just say you're quite the catch.
A years' gone by, thought it feels like three.
Another forty, still married we'll be.
With a handful of kids, maybe grandbabies too
wrinkles and all, I'll always love you.

Also, this is the one and only picture we have of us on our anniversary. In case you can't tell, this is me more than doubling Jason's score on the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disneyland.

Awww, how sweet? Under Jason's scruffy computer geek exterior, he's really a squishy poet!

Wow Jessie I didn't know you were so good on the BuzzLightyear ride at Disneyland! Congratulation I'm impressed. I loved the poem that Jason wrote you! That was so sweet. He is quite the poet! We sure had fun seeing both of you at Disneyland. I took one picture of you on Tuesday so I will blog it so you'll have another picture.
