Bridal Shower

I'm throwing a bridal shower for one of my best friends on April 12. Invitations .... check. Decorations ... check. Food ... check. Cute picture book of the couple for guests to write their best wishes and or advice in ... check. Games ............... HELP!

Now I've been to my fair share of bridal showers and I've played a wide variety of games but for some reason I am having a hard time coming up with games to play at this shower. If anyone has any great, grand, wonderful or even mediocre ideas, please share. I'm at a loss.

This is the cute little book I made for Rachael's shower. It's a 20 page soft cover book with their engagement pictures throughout as well as places for the shower guests to write their advice and well wishes.

I love reading your blog. I've been a lurker for a long time. But I was just wondering how/where you made that softcover book. What a great idea. I've never seen one like that before. Please leave the "answer" on my blog...if you don't mind. Thanks!

One game I've played is the "famous couples" game where you have a list of couples throughout history, but one of two people is left blank and so the girls have to try to fill in as many as they can. It's kind of just your typical cheesy bridal shower game, but it can be fun. The three people who get the most correct could get a prize or something. Anyways, I actually have a word document of the game and the answers, if you're interested.

Hi Jess! Love the book idea!!!! I don't really have any game ideas other than just playing some card games. I've decided I'm not playing bridal or baby shower games anymore. I'd rather just eat food, talk, and have fun. But good luck with the games. Hope you find some great ones.

cute book jess! um.....games..... you can always do the typical ask him questions and see if she can answer them correctly, or write down her remarks when she opens the presents and then repeat them back (what she will say on her honeymoon)---- i will keep trying to think of some more creative ones for you

I'm also a fan of the non-game playing showers. I think it's more fun to socialize and hang out.

Jessie! I miss you and we need to get together and cook or something. Bridal shower games...hmm...you'd think I'd have some creative ones after all 12 that I've been to in the past year. Let me know what you come up with because I'm hosting one next month! Oh and I finally made a blog - janessarose.blogspot.com. I hope you & Jason are doing great!

One game that I totally love (maybe I'm crazy for it) that is simple and you totally don't have to do much is the "clothes pin game". You give everyone 3 clothes pins. They put them on their shirts, pants, where ever. There are two ways to do the next part. The one I prefer is: Through out the shower, the guests are not allowed to cross their arms OR legs! If they are caught by another guest, the person that caught them takes one of the their clothes pins. Who ever has the most clothes pins at the end of the shower, get a prize. You can do the same thing, but the guests are allowed to say the word "bride".
