I made bread

For Mia Maids, we had a self-proclamed "bread snob" teach us how to make homemade white bread. She gave us great step-by-step instructions, so I went home and decided to make my own. It was a lot of fun, and I think it turned out really well. So well, in fact, that I've decided I don't ever want to buy bread again. I'll just make it instead! I'll let you know if I stick to that ...

This one time... that's a goal of mine. My sister-in-law does it, my younger sister does it, and I'm like, "TEACH ME!"

That's great. I love to make homemade bread - when I have a whole day to devote to it. I'd love a new recipe if you want to share :)

Wow! I'm impressed! I have this phobia of making homemade bread (probably because every time I've attempted it, it's been a disaster), but that looks so good it makes me want to attempt it again. Can I get the recipe from you?

Ok that bread looks SO good! I have tried sweetbreads, but not sandwich breads but I am with you on wanting to make my own instead of buying it. Do you mind sharing your recipe? If so, just e-mail it to kimchristenson@gmail.com. Thanks!! PS-I know the Kynastons too ... Matt and Cara are some of our best friends!

I have thought about ditching store bought. When all is said and done do you think homemade saves you any money? Or does it cost a little more but the yummines makes it worth it?

YEA! You will save so much money, really. You should try whole wheat too with a little bit of honey. You might be suprised how yummy it is. My little girl (21 months) loves homemade wheat bread. The best part? It's super health and yummy. White bread is like candy almost- it's a simple carb rather than a comlex carb.

Anyway, good for you! You're always inspiring me Jessie. I wish I had gotten to know you in Nauvoo, but I guess blogging will do too.

Did Sister Fleischer teach you? I went to her house the other day and she taught us how to make bread. I haven't dared try it myself yet. Maybe next week? When I am going to see you again? I want to play!
