The name game

I'm due in 17 days and we have yet to choose a name. Right now Jason's reading through his Personal Ancestral File to see if we can't find some names we like. So far, lots of Elizabeth's and nothing we're crazy about. We have a list of names we do like but I'd like to add more to our stash of possibilities. So, dear reader, I turn to you for suggestions.

This is on of my favorite places to look: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/index.html

Maybe you've looked. But you can search by the entire country or state, and you can look at the top 100 to the top 1000 -- and just looking down the lists can give good ideas. If you haven't looked, it's fun if nothing else. :) Good luck! Don't stress too much about it either. You'll figure out her name, and it'll be perfect! I'm so excited for you Jesse! You are going to be a WONDERFUL mother!! Good luck with these last few days!

you realize that's like asking people to give up their baby names right? ;)
Well, I think it's a great idea to have multiple names. Steve & I had it down to 2 names and when Ava came out she wasn't either of them, so we had to go back to our larger list.
Here are some girl names:
Ruth, Katelyn, Clara, Jodie, Madelyn, Karen, Lauren, Elsie, Naomi, Sadie, & my all time favorite family name that Steve will never let me have--Roxanna who went by Roxy ;) His grandmothers were Nathel & Elma ;)

Since we are done having children and had no girls, I'll give you my girl name. Brooklyn Elise. Feel free to use it or hate it.

OOOO! The name game is always fun. We are so excited for you guys! Ok lets see, two names that we liked for Ruby but obviously we didn't use are Payton and Evelyn, but call her EVEE or EVY for short. Anyway those are the only two I remember. But I bet you guys will surprise yourselfs and decide on somethin out of the blue, that's how it always worked for us. Good luck!

Haha, Stacey. I was totally going to suggest Annie. =)

Lots of Elizabeths, huh? You could go for Eliza or Beth or Liz or Liza or Lisa or Eli or Zabe or any other Elizabeth-hybrid you can come up with. In fact, you should name all your children variations on Elizabeth.

How about Nora? =)

Well I can give you the ones Dillon wouldn't let me use: We always like McKenna but it just didn't feel right for whatever reason. Right before I was due I was looking at a picture of Mt. McKinley and fell ABSOLUTELY in love with mcKinley but Dillon was already stuck on Sequoia so he said we could maybe use it for the next one but now some of our friends are having a McKinly so it's out. I liked Isabelle after my great grandma but due to the Twilight phenomenon it was too popular. I thought we could get away with calling her izzy or Lizzy instead of Bella but no go with the hubs. I also liked Victoria and Olivia, but he didn't so I'd love it if you used any of those! Good luck Jessie, so exciting!

Figuring out a name for MY little girl is hard enough! So, I really don't have any suggestions but thought I would write to tell you good luck! Trust me...no fun. Its fun thinking of baby names on my own...but throw Tyson into the mix and after shooting down TONS of names...it looses its fun.

My ward has had lots of baby girls born lately...here are some of the names. Adaline, Hazel, Lucy, Sydney, and Addison are the ones that come to mind.

I always loved the name Ivy Paige! We are done having kids so if you like it have it. It is always so hard to agree on a name! Good Luck!!

My vote is for Linne! Hooray for names. Or you can wait until an hour before you leave the hospital and then yell out names at her until she chooses. (Just a thought.)
