Lately....

I've been a bad blogger. So to make up for it, I'm going to OVERLOAD you with pictures. And not of clients, but of Jason and me and events in our lives. You're welcome.

First...

It was our anniversary. So we went to Vegas, as I already blogged about. But we weren't there on the actual day of our anniversary, so I made Jason take me out to dinner. Mimi's Cafe, it was yummy!

Then...

My friend Trisha got married and I attended her bridal shower with our friends Lauren and Linne. We played a fun game where we had to design a wedding dress out of tissue paper. Trisha's mother-in-law and I designed this stunning gown for her. I know, I know, I need to consider a career in fashion design right? Also, I just shot her wedding, so stay tuned for those photos!

And THEN...

Chef Kelly taught me how to decorate a cake with fondant. Chef Kelly, otherwise known and Kelly (Kirkland) Heinz or Sister Heinz, serves in Mia Maids with me and we had an un-birthday party for an activity. Chef Kelly studied culinary arts in Arizona and is very talented.

Finally...

A much deserved weekend at my cabin with Nate and Linne celebrating our anniversaries. They were married on June 3rd, the year before Jason and I were married. Tender!

OK, so that's not all... but I'll save girls camp for it's very own post. Wahoo!

Girls camp

I'm off to girls camp this morning. I won't be back until Thursday night. I love my ward and I love my girls, but I'm not a fan of being away from home. And from Jason. I swear, the longer I'm married the harder it is to be away from him.

Anyway.

I have so much to blog about. Jason and I finally bought a point and shoot camera, so I've been taking a lot more pictures than we used to. I have a cake I made that I want to blog about. My friend Trisha's bridal shower. Matt, Tom and Cheryl's visit this past month. And I have pictures of all of these! But I lack the time/motivation to upload the pictures. So someday, but no guarantees that it'll be soon.

How's that for a pointless post?

Girls camp last year. All but one of these girls is graduated and gone!

That is so not cool

Yesterday was the home inspection on our potential house. It went mostly well, until we were informed that the house (though advertised with one) was missing an air conditioning unit. As in, there is NO air conditioning in the house. And, the furnace is broken. Really? No heating OR cooling? No way am I living in a house like that. So, we sent an addendum to the bank saying that if they don't fix the furnace and install and AC unit, we're not buying the house. They have five days to respond, and you can bet I'll be on pins and needles waiting for their response.

Also, new photoshoot on the blog.

Trish and Charles

I am so excited! My dear friend Trisha is getting married on Saturday and I have the special honor of being her photographer. Between rainstorms, we were able to take her bridals last week and I LOVE the way they turned out. Thanks Trish for being such a cool bride and not being bothered by a little rain :) As always, more on my photo blog

Vegas baby!

So I was going to post these pictures on my anniversary, but then I got carried away and created the slideshow, presh hu? Anyway, so here's our pictures from our Vegas trip! We decided on Friday that we could use a vacay for our anniversary, so we left that evening and made the drive down. We had a great time at the aquarium, shopping, eating and relaxing.

Serendipity frozen hot chocolate, yum!

Birds at the Bellagio

Surrounded by sharks in the aquarium

Our freaking sweet hotel room, it also had a huge bedroom, a kitchen, jetted tub and two gigantic flat screen tvs. $61 a night. I'm totally into bargin travel.

Again, freaking sweet hotel. Fancy pool, eh?

Alisa and Dax

Thanks so much for your comments on my anniversary post. I know I said it yesterday, but I do feel so lucky to have such a wonderful spouse.

Speaking of wonderful spouses ... Dax and Alisa are finally married, after years and years of courtship. I'm so glad they asked me to document their big day! More on the photo blog.

I am the luckiest

Today is our two year anniversary. On Friday we decided to drive to Vegas and spend the weekend there in celebration. It was nice to get away from everything and just be able to enjoy one anothers company. I love Jason so much and am so grateful for the way things worked out for us.

I can't believe it's been two years since our wedding day. Part of me feels like it was yesterday, and the other part of me can't remember my life without him by my side. On our way down to Las Vegas, we were listening to music on my ipod and this song came on. Jason sang along to me, and it's been on repeat in my head ever since. I am truly the luckiest girl in the world to be married to my sweetheart Jason.

Ashley and Brad

Tomorrow is my two year anniversary, woot! So, tomorrow you can expect a big post full of pictures of me and Jason. Not other couples. But today, you get to see other couples. This is Ashley and Brad, I met them at the wedding expo at Thanksgiving Point and was pretty happy when Ashley booked me on the spot. For more of their shoot, as always, visit my photo blog!
