Sneak Peek
I had my bridal portraits taken this evening. It was so much fun to get dressed up in all my wedding stuff. I absolutely love my dress, necklace, veil and shoes. To top off the whole ensemble, I had the most amazing bouquet. I'll post more pictures when I get them back from the photographer (sometime before Friday!) but here's a picture Audrey (the flower lady) took. She does amazing work and I would enthusiastically recommend her to anybody seeking a florist.

"To do" lists
I'm a list kinda gal. I love making long lists with everything I need to accomplish and then, my favorite part, I get to cross things off one by one when each goal has been reached. I am also a planner. I love to plan things, and I love when things are planned. My dear friend Macie and I have been obsessed with planning weddings since we were, I dunno, infants? Okay, so that's a somewhat hyperbolic statement, but only somewhat.
I believe it was sometime in junior high when we discovered the The Knot, a Web site that has everything wedding. Dresses, cakes, flowers, rings, etc. So when Jason popped the question, I immediately turned to The Knot to help plan this upcoming shindig. They have a wedding budgeter, a guest list manager and even a place where you can make your own couples Web site. . . but best of all, they had a checklist!! This checklist, as beautiful as it seemed, has become the bane of my existence. I am obsessed with being able to check things off. . . but according to The Knot, we have 11 days left. . . and 65 items still on the "to do" list. Plus, about 20 or more of our invitations we sent out have come back for various "incorrect address" reasons. Yay for stress! Right?
On an interesting side note, both Macie and I are over our wedding planning obession just in time to actually have to plan our own weddings, I love the irony of life.

15 days!
In 15 days I hope to see you all in my parents backyard at 1132 North 1450 East helping Jason and me celebrate our wedding! It's crazy how quickly that day is approaching, and still there are so many things to finalize! Half the time I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off, and the other half of the time I just don't care. I have the dress, the temple date and the right man, what else matters?! (for those who are wondering, our invitations were done by this amazing gal named Mollie Openshaw who runs the company Polkadots and Daisies)
Welcome!
I feel like our first post should be something spectacular, to welcome you and thank you for taking an interest in our lives. I've been pondering how to best do this, how to masterfully arrange the words so you are blown away with our wit and charm and check our blog hourly, hoping for an update that will lift your spirits and make your day a million times better because that's the kind of power we have over your lives. Right? If this isn't the case, please keep it to yourself because as we've all be taught since we were children, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.
