The post you've alllll been waiting for

Yes, that's right. For those who haven't heard through the grapevine yet, a little person will be joining our household in June. Or July if (s)he decides to come late. Which would be an all too fitting punishment to me since I made my mom wait two weeks past HER due date for me to come.

And guess what? We get to find out what we're having in two weeks!

According to old wives tales I have a 17 percent chance of having a boy, and an 82 percent chance of having a girl.

And Here's Why...
You are carrying the extra weight around the hips and bottom, so it's a girl.
The hair on your legs is not growing any faster during your preganacy, so it's a girl.
Boys are carried low. You are going to have a boy.
Sleeping in a bed with your pillow to the south indicates that you will be having a girl.
Your feet are not colder than they were before pregnancy. You are having a girl.
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread. You are having a girl.
Dad-to-be hasn't been gaining weight along with Mom-to-be, so it will be a girl.
The maternal grandmother doesn't have gray hair (dyed or natural), so a girl will be born.
You had morning sickness early in pregnancy, so you are expecting a girl.
You are not looking particularly good during pregnancy. Therefore, it must be a girl, because girls steal their mother's looks.
Your chest development has been quite dramatic during pregnancy. You should expect a girl.
Since the sum of the mother's age at conception and the number of the month of conception is even, it will be a boy.
A needle on a thread held over your belly moves in circles, so you will have a boy.
Your urine is a dull yellow color, so you will have a girl.
You are craving sweets, which means that it is a girl.
Your nose hasn't changed during pregnancy, which indicates a girl.
You have been craving fruits, so it is a girl.
Your baby's heart rate is 140 or more beats per minute, so it's a girl.
You have no desire for orange juice, so it's a boy.
You are not having headaches, so it's a girl.
Your belly looks like a watermelon, so it's a girl.
You show them the palm of your hand, so it's a girl.
You use the body of the mug, so it's a girl.

I few things pregnancy has done to me:

I LOVE fruit. Can't get enough. Would die without
I HATE onions. Sick gross yucky nasty. Especially purple ones.
Cinnamon smells and tastes don't smell or taste good. Not gross, just not good.
The smell of canned chili (Jason's favorite) will make me vomit instantly.
I always want to be sleeping. Even when I wake up after a full night of REM cycles, I want more.
My hair is awesome. Grows like crazy and is super silky softy and shiny.
My skin is not awesome and I don't want to talk about it.

Uh!!! I have been waiting for this post! I'm so happy for you! As far as predictions go I think mothers intuition is the best... I always knew I'd have a girl first and my thoughts were even stronger once I was pregnant, so if you're leaning one way or another you're probably right... but the age/month conception thing as been pretty accurate with several people I know too(and it was for me). I know it sounds crazy cause you just want that little bundle here so bad but enjoy being pregnant, sometimes I miss it! Also enjoy your hair because mine literally all fell out after I delivered. congrats again, let me know if you need anything :)

So, so excited for you! :) We're having a girl but a lot of those wives tales weren't true for me. The only one I can think of that was is the heart rate thing. First time we got her heart rate it was like 160. It's slower now, though still probably around 140.

Oh and my husband loves canned chili too and during my first trimester he was eating a ton of it because I wasn't cooking and I tell you I though it would be the death of me. My sympathies!!

Can't wait to hear more about your pregnancy and of course to hear what you're having!

Congrats! It's amazing how pregnancy treats no one the same, but the end result is pretty incredible.

I know it was already said but the scrabble board is way cute.

I was so excited when I was told you were having a baby. I don't know if I've even seen you since then to say congrats...but CONGRATS! And according to those wives tales...I may be having a girl after all. But I still have my doubts and put my money on boy for me. Let's see...for you, I'd say girl. :)

Your lucky your hair is awesome, mine went so dry I had to cut it all off. The skin part I can totally relate to and it is awful, hang in there it will be worth it I promise.
