Mini sessions

I've been trying to keep my personal blog and my photo blog seperate. Because, let's face it, you don't come to this blog because you want to know what's going on in my business life, but because you want to know what's going on in my personal life. But, this may interest some of you

The cutest pumpkin in the patch

When I was younger, my mom would always take us to the Pumpkin Patch in October to pick our the perfect pumpkin. It's a tradition I decided I wanted to pass on to my kids, so here's Norah's first trip to the pumpkin patch!

She was by far the best looking pumpkin, so we brought her home.

Me!

Not nearly as cute as Norah, but a guest at a wedding snapped this photo of me on Saturday and I totally stole it off facebook. As you can see, I bought a new camera. Finally. The Nikon D700. And I'm in love.

Carlie's Graduating

My little Carlie (okay, so she's taller than me. By, like, a lot) is graduating from Liahona. She'll still cheer at Orem next year, but for the most part she's done with high school and on to hair school! We took some pictures for her graduation announcement the other day, isn't she gorgeous? And so grown up?

Arizona for New Years!

We spent our New Years in the warmness of Arizona. 70 degree weather, lots of relaxing, great company and great food. It was perfect. Unfortunatly the only pictures I took were for work, some engagement pictures of Whitney and Chase. Feel free to check them out on my photo blog!

An explaination

This is (one of the many) reason I've been a bit absent from blog land, the Utah Wedding Expo! Prepping for this event was not as consuming as it was the first time, but you throw in holidays, travel and illness and things like blogging go out the window! But check out my booth! Isn't it cute? Jason was a HUGE help at the expo, and we both really enjoyed meeting all the awesome couples.

Cabin bound!

We're heading to the cabin tonight! Of course, only if I can get all the things done I need to get done in time. Such as:

Oil change
packing (both clothes to wear an all our Christmas gifts)
eating (I keep forgetting)
laundry
dishes
run to the bank
last minute Christmas shopping
last minute Christmas wrapping

And I only have three hours left to do it all. And here I am blogging instead. Procrastination is one of the things I'm pretty good at. In fact, if it were an Olympic sport ... that gold would be all mine. If your "to-do" list is daunting and you want to procrastinate too, please do so by viewing my photo blog and leaving me comment love. This lovely couple was featured today:

Brooke's Bridals

Amidst all the packing, cleaning, moving and unpacking ... I did a photoshoot. And I'm so glad, because it was such a welcomed break. Check it out on the photo blog, and leave me a little love. And hang tight, house pictures (furnished) will come eventually. Oh, and guess what? I have some fun pictures from the 4th of July I need to post too.

Homeowners!

Yesterday, Jason and I signed lots and lots of documents. Today, our realtor is going to give us a key. And Jason and I will officially be the owners of 8906 AND 8908 Cottage Canyon Drive. No, we did not buy two homes, but rather one very confused home. You see, when the development was originally laid out, our home landed on plot No. 8906 and it was later ammended by the county to be 8908. Except no one told the city. So, according to Utah County, Jason and I just purchased home No. 8908. But according to Cedar Hills (and the postal service and the number on the house) we purchased 8906. Yeah, I don't really get it either...

And, one of my most favorite people ever is getting married, and she let me take some bridal pictures of her, and now they're on my blog!

Another shameless plug...

for the photo blog. But please go visit, and leave some love in the form of comments. I don't know why, but I thrive on validation. Just ask my mom, whenever I make a meal or bake something or create anything at all, I practically beg my family members to tell me how amazing they think I am. "I made that, it's good hu? Hu? I made that. All by myself. I made that." Apparently I'm needy.

Melissa's bridals

Is it wrong to have favorite clients? If so, don't tell. Because this girl might be one of my top favorite brides to work with. Check out the rest of the shoot here.

That is so not cool

Yesterday was the home inspection on our potential house. It went mostly well, until we were informed that the house (though advertised with one) was missing an air conditioning unit. As in, there is NO air conditioning in the house. And, the furnace is broken. Really? No heating OR cooling? No way am I living in a house like that. So, we sent an addendum to the bank saying that if they don't fix the furnace and install and AC unit, we're not buying the house. They have five days to respond, and you can bet I'll be on pins and needles waiting for their response.

Also, new photoshoot on the blog.

Trish and Charles

I am so excited! My dear friend Trisha is getting married on Saturday and I have the special honor of being her photographer. Between rainstorms, we were able to take her bridals last week and I LOVE the way they turned out. Thanks Trish for being such a cool bride and not being bothered by a little rain :) As always, more on my photo blog
