Remember how I used to do the 10 loves? Well, I missed them so I wanted start it up again. I'm not saying this is going to be a regular thing still, but more regular!
1. Hulu.com for keeping me regularly entertained as I edit photos.
2. Blueberries for being a yummy and healthy snacking food while I edit photos.
3. MY NEW DESK! For being beautiful and providing me a space to edit photos.
4. My clients, for being beautiful so I can enjoy the part of photography that requires me to edit photos.
5. My new house! This could be all 10 loves plus 100. My kitchen, master bath, VIEW, office, pantry, fireplace, open space, garage, decorating.... and the list goes on and on and on.
6. Cooking in my new kitchen, it's SOOOOO much better than cooking in my old kitchen.
7. Having a home phone.
8. Cheese melted over tortilla chips for being a yummy (but not so healthy) snacking food while I edit photos.
9. That my husband ALSO loves cooking in our new kitchen, he cooks up a mean breakfast and I never knew it!
10. Nice new neighbors who bring us cookies, jam and strawberry short cake!
Also, I have pictures of our house, but unfortunatly in the move I misplaced the cord that goes from my point-and-shoot to my computer, so I can't upload pictures right now. Sorry!

10 loves ... Father's Day Edition

I have the best dad in the world, I'm convinced. Today at my parents house my mom had us go around and say what we were most grateful for in regards to my dad ... and I have to admit, it was hard. There are too many wonderful things about my dad to narrow it down to just one, but here are 10 things I love about my dad.
1. I love that at age 15 my dad read The Book of Mormon and knew that it was true and that he had the courage to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and kept the commandments so that I was able to enjoy the blessing of being born into the church.
2. I love that my dad is such a hard worker and has provided well for my family. I also love how his example of hard work has rubbed off on his children.
3. I love how comfortable my dad always makes people feel. He doesn't consider himself a social person, but he's fantastic in social situations.
4. I love how my dad is still so in love with my wonderful mother after so many years.
5. I love that my dad is always wanting the best for his kids and recognizes the fine line between helping us and enabling us.
6. I love sitting and talking with my dad. He is so smart and witty.
7. I love knowing that I can go to my dad with any and every problem and he'll help me find the most suitable solution without making me feel stupid.
8. I love how wonderful and welcoming my dad has been to Jason.
9. I love when my dad calls me princess.
10. I love knowing my kids will have such a wonderful grandfather.
And a bonus 11th love ...
I love knowing that Jason will be just as wonderful to our children as my dad has been to his.

1. All you dear readers who still check my blog even though since the death of my computer I have not updated it like I promised I would.
2. My calling as a Mia Maid advisor. I love each of my girls so much!
3. Looking for homes online. It's lame, but I get such a thrill imagining owning a home someday.
4. The warm weather! Last week we were still having to wear coats to work, now it's in the '90s. And about time too.
5. When I cook dinner. It's becoming more and more rare, but last night I made broccoli pie - YUM!
6. David Archuleta. Need I say more?
7. This blog: Mormon in Manhattan
8. Manti. I get to go down there this weekend to take pictures of this amazing family. So Jason and I are making a vacation out of it. Expect lots of pictures.
9. The smell of books. New and old. I just love it, it's so inviting.
10. How excited Jason was for National Treasure 2 to come to Redbox. He set his alarm for midnight so he could wake up and reserve it online. He slept in, but was still able to reserve it at 6 a.m.

10 loves: The picture version
3.30.08
1. I LOVE my husband. Yesterday and Friday I was assigned to work the Utah Valley Spring Home Expo all by my lonesomeness from 11 to 8 both days. Count it folks, that's 18 hours total on my feet pushing magazines and subscriptions on strangers. Out of the goodness of his heart, Jason kept me company on Friday after he got off work until it was over and on Saturday from about 2 to 8. And not only that, he brought me food and helped me talk to the expo-goers.

2. My new lamps!! The booth next to mine at the expo did a drawing for lamps, and Jason won! They are pretty, don't you think?

3. The onset of spring... which means cabin time is coming soon!! I'm hoping I can go up there a lot this summer, it's such a beautiful place -- and so much fun! (see, this is me looking at the beautiful surroundings at my cabin and throwing my hands up in joy)

4. My dad. 34 years ago on March 16 he was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am grateful that at age 15 he was able to recognize the spirit and make a decision that has shaped his whole life and made it possible for me to be born into the gospel. This is us celebrating his baptism anniversary at Olive Garden.
5. Disneyland. Now I know you all know this, but I just wanted to reiterate my love for the Magic Kingdom. Now that we have blackout dates on our season pass (we have to pay $40 admission) we probably won't go again until the fall when the blackout days cease.

6. The wonderful family I married in to. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful in-laws and two (soon to be three!!) beautiful nieces.

7. Ibuprofen for the temporary relief from my headaches. It doesn't completely get rid of them, but it sure helps.
8. The Beatles. I've been listening to them in my car for the past week and they just make me happy.

9. My young women. There's only four of them, but they're fantastic. We just had a planning meeting and planned out our activities for the next 3 months. One of our activities is going to be going up to the temple and taking pictures of them individually and as a group ... I can't wait to put my photo skills to work on these beautiful ladies!
10. Each and every one of you who read my blog. Thank you.

1. Fresh fruit. Lately I've been eating fruit for breakfast, and it's been the perfect way to start my day.
2. Being a Mia Maid adviser and being able to go to Young Women's.
3. Mac makeup. This is the only brand of makeup I use because it lasts forever and is amazing.
4. Being inspired by other wedding photographers.
5. Watching my March Madness bracket, even though many of my picks did not win.
6. Reading other people's blogs. One of my latest favorites is The Coterie. Heather, the creative gal who writes the blog was in one of my BYU wards.
7. My new Easter dress from Ann Taylor.

9. Playing Settlers of Catan. Or any other game, but Settlers is my current favorite.

One non-love: Headaches. I've had a throbbing one since Thursday, and Advil only provides very temporary relief. If anyone knows how to remedy my pain, please let me know.

5. Photography. Doing it, looking at it, thinking about it ... everything about photography.
6. Real Simple magazine. Seriously, every page is so pretty and the articles are great too!
7. Cute finds like these great measuring spoons from Beehive Kitchen.

11.2.2007
1. Our November/December issue of Utah Valley Magazine -- it turned out so well!
2. Still, the warm weather and lack of snow. We had a scare a few weekends ago, but skies have been sunny for almost two weeks now!
3. My online church history class. Not only is it super interesting, it's also super easy.
4. Pay day
5. Five wonderful months of marriage (today!)
6. Autumn. I love to see the trees in a blaze of color.
7. Weekends
8. Sources who return calls/e-mails in a timely manner.
9. Crunchy carrots.
10. Lunch time

10 loves
I saw something like this posted on my friend Brittany's blog and I decided I loved it and want to make it a weekly part of my blog. So faithful readers, check back every Friday for my current list of 10 loves!
10.26.07
1. The warm weather that hasn't forced me into a big coat yet.
2. My new camera lens, a beautiful 50 mm 1.8 f-stop. It takes yummy pictures.
3. People like Matt and Lecia who trust me.
4. The heated seats in my jeep, because even though the days are getting into the 70's, it's only about 40 degrees when I leave for work in the morning.
5. Disneyland.
6. Having 8 of my 9 stories for bride turned in! (this includes the million page reception center guide -- yay!)
7. Cuddling with Jason for so long in the morning that I'm late for work.
8. Cheerios for breakfast. Or lunch. Or dinner.
9. The November Real Simple magazine.
10. Fuzzy socks.
