Fourth of July

I'm behind. I know. I blame the move. Which hasn't happened all the way yet, but I'm taking a break from packing and unpacking to bring you these wonderful point-and-shoot pictures from our Fourth of July festivities:

First we went to the parade in Provo, which was fun like always!

Then we joined my sisters at the Stadium of Fire to see none other than SheDaisy and The Jonas Brothers. Jealous?

SheDaisy!

The Jonas Brothers. So hot right now.

We have matching eyes.
They like to move it move it.

Brooke's Bridals

Amidst all the packing, cleaning, moving and unpacking ... I did a photoshoot. And I'm so glad, because it was such a welcomed break. Check it out on the photo blog, and leave me a little love. And hang tight, house pictures (furnished) will come eventually. Oh, and guess what? I have some fun pictures from the 4th of July I need to post too.

Our house

So you want pictures of the house? I've already posted these here, but I realize no one checks that so I figured I should post some here.

These are not pictures we've taken, just ones we snagged of the MLS listing. We've been busy packing boxes and running them to the new house. I'm also busy with weddings and other photo shoots as well as dealing with the other details of moving. Such as setting up the gas, water and power in our names. As well as setting up a home phone and Internet. Oh yeah, I totally have a home phone number now. As soon as we get settled and decorated, I'll post even better pictures.

Homeowners!

Yesterday, Jason and I signed lots and lots of documents. Today, our realtor is going to give us a key. And Jason and I will officially be the owners of 8906 AND 8908 Cottage Canyon Drive. No, we did not buy two homes, but rather one very confused home. You see, when the development was originally laid out, our home landed on plot No. 8906 and it was later ammended by the county to be 8908. Except no one told the city. So, according to Utah County, Jason and I just purchased home No. 8908. But according to Cedar Hills (and the postal service and the number on the house) we purchased 8906. Yeah, I don't really get it either...

And, one of my most favorite people ever is getting married, and she let me take some bridal pictures of her, and now they're on my blog!

May visit

I can't believe I haven't posted these pictures yet! Jason's parents and brother Matt came to visit in May. We had a lot of fun together, and the highlight (for me anyway) was when we went to The Foundry Grill at Sundance for lunch one day. The property there is so beautiful, so of course we took pictures!

Another shameless plug...

for the photo blog. But please go visit, and leave some love in the form of comments. I don't know why, but I thrive on validation. Just ask my mom, whenever I make a meal or bake something or create anything at all, I practically beg my family members to tell me how amazing they think I am. "I made that, it's good hu? Hu? I made that. All by myself. I made that." Apparently I'm needy.

Melissa's bridals

Is it wrong to have favorite clients? If so, don't tell. Because this girl might be one of my top favorite brides to work with. Check out the rest of the shoot here.

Girls Camp!

I love girls camp. It is always one of the best weeks of the summer. I especially love all the girls in my ward, they are such beautiful young women! We had a blast at Heber Valley Camp (aka, Heber Valley Hilton) learning all about living after the manner of happiness and how flowers bring happiness. We talked about planting seeds of faith, living virtuous lives, being our own kind of beautiful and blooming where we're planted.

At the confidence course, they had a station where they had you climb up a tree:

Walk across a tightrope:

And rappel down another tree:

It was a lot scarier that I thought it would be, and I've never considered myself afraid of heights.

I was also in charge of another station where the girls had to walk across wires from one tree to the next without touching the ground. My ward did a great job!

Thanks to Britney Madsen (on of our Laurels) for taking these pictures so I could shamelessly steal them off facebook!
