Utah Wedding Expo

This past weekend I had a booth in the Utah Wedding Expo. After a confusing experience full of lost contracts, double-booking booths and misplaced payments (none of this on my end) ... it all came together and I was even upgraded to a bigger and better booth for all my troubles! My booth turned out beautifully and I even booked a wedding on the spot, something that I've been told is extremely rare. Yay me!

A HUGE thank-you to Four Chairs for letting me use the cute table, rug and 9-slot picture frame.  Audrey at Studio Stems for the beautiful flowers and all around design help. Jessica at JP Creative for my cute business cards and pricing information sheets. My mom for helping me in a million and one ways, including helping me man the booth. And I can't forget Jason and Geoff who also helped me man my booth.

Utah Valley Thunder

Finally! A non-photography related post!

Anyway. Last night for FHE Jason and I joined my family at the Utah Valley Thunder arena football game. The family that lives across the street from my parents owns the team, so they were able to hook us up with free tickets. It was nice to do something outside of our regular routine and we were even interviewed for the local news station. Too bad we were still at the game when the interview was on TV, I hope I didn't make too big a fool of myself!

Photo shamelessly stolen off someone's Facebook :)

Alisa + Dax = awesome

I cheered with her in high school, and I serve with his mom in Young Womens. Now I have the privilege of being their wedding photographer and I am SO excited about it. Check out more from this shoot on my photo blog.

Also, this past weekend Jason and I took a trip up to the cabin with my family. It was so nice to escape the day-to-day stresses (especially the stresses with my booth at the upcoming Utah Wedding Expo) and do nothing but watch movies, play games and eat yummy food. Thanks Mom and Dad for inviting us, we love you!

Another photography post

One of my favorite things about my job is the people I get to meet and work with. I adored this couple so much, and despite the bitter cold, had a great time photographing them. Head over to the photo blog for more!

Arizona bridals

This past week Jason and I had the chance to fly to Arizona for his step-sisters wedding. It was so warm and so nice to spend even a little time with Jason's family. Here's a little peak at what's been keeping me busy since we got back, arn't they such a beautiful couple! Head on over to the photo blog for more.

The house update

For those who have asked, we did not move this past weekend. You see, there was at typographical error on the selling agent's part of the contract. This three letter error has cause quite a bit of drama and delayed the closing date to an unknown date in the future. I'm OK with this because the longer it takes to close, the more time I have with my calling in Young Women. In fact, I'd be OK if the paperwork was delayed through June because then I could go to girls camp.

And because a post without pictures is like a day without sun (or something cheesy like that), here's a picture:

How cute are these?!

I had my friend Jessica design some logos, business cards and pricing information sheets for my new business, what do you think?

The red one is on my business card while the blue one is on the pricing information sheet and my Web site and blog. I love them!
